I wanna go to one but theres never any conventions around wisconsin.
i have been to 2, shiokazecon 06', and kamikaze kon 05', They were both at the hyatt hotel in houston. They were kinda fun, but i dont ever plan to go to another one. Makes me feel to otaku, and all the cross dressing cosplay is kinda odd.
I wouldn't consider the one I went to very well planned. It was a couple of months ago at JTAF (Japan Town Anime Festival) and I only went b/c Mari Iijima was there.
Thank God I didn't pay for admission b/c I don't think I'd go to another.
been to awa before
crazy full of anime nerds, the occasional fuckable chick and wannabe voice actors.
btw I've met mari iijima before and got some rad macross shit signed
i went to one in orlando for like 30 minutes, ninja bought all the gundam models i needed and left,
too many narutards walking around, felt out of place
I enjoy people watching occasionally and anime conventions are like the fucking people watchers' mecca. Soooo many freaks to see, it's like a human zoo.
I'm totally going to AX in July. Hopefully I'll get a seat to check out the AMV exhibition thingy too.
They smell funny.
Sometimes one is worth going to, the pillows played at the one in my area a while ago, it was freakin sweet. But that con is usually pretty decent.
im going to the one in dallas two weeks from now
time to stock up on gundam/initial d/eureka7 stuff
dude if they have a PVC Anemone do you wanna get me one
There was one in Chicago last year. I couldn't go and the pillows did a show too
I wanna see the pillows, I miss them every time they're in town (usually only sxsw). Ive been to ushi con here in austin once, nothing great, but it was still kinda fun. Might go to this next one.
i was thinking about going to the one in baltimore, but decided to screw it because i didn't want to pay the hefty admission fee and i forgot about it. one night, i was downtown on my way to the bar and was reminded of it when i saw all these cosplayers crossing the street. glad i was about to get drunk with my friends instead of associating with them. if my friends saw me on the way there with them
thats the only reason i would go to another convention, well any j-band i am addicted to will convince me to go
Anime Expo 2001, BAAF a couple times, Katsucon 3 times, Anime Next, AnimeUSA, Otakon 5 times... uh... Im forgetting a few smaller ones Im sure.
if you promise to buy it and not leave me with a pvc anemone
you are such a loser man
of course ill buy it
just dont jack up the price
i think the around 30 bucks and ill pay for shipping
seriously where do they get that stuff to make the costumes?
fabric shops, arts and crafts stores, etc. if they need heavy duty shit, they can get it at Home Depot or something like that
just ebay the whole costume
Defeats the purpose.
nah, way to otaku for me
