My first tripod ever. I've set it up and all but there's something I'm not sure about . How do I lock the legs so they don't move? :ugh:

Look, I even made a nice gif to show you what I mean :hsugh:

Are you serious? Do I need to bring a screwdriver with me everytime I'm gonna use it?

Just tighten it enough so that it's snug, and doesn't move on it's own.

My tripod legs are pretty stiff.

Ah, just tighten them up a bit, so its stiffer. It's all about preferences I guess how tight/lose you want it.

you sure it's not just going to its default position? on top of each leg it looks like there's a switch to set it to a preset angle (the one i played with at best buy, also velbon sherpa something) had the same thing

I was gonna say the same thing. Will it "lock" into place at that second position?

They're suppose to lock in two different positions by engaging the tab on the head. :dunno: At least my Manfrotto does.

if you push it in a bit, push the tab, extend and let go, there should be at least 1 or 2 more angles you can set it to

i think the tripod you have goes pretty low
