Hong long does it take to burn a full cd?

What's with this dual standard that i keep hearing about?

How much stuff can it hold on it?

Is it readable in standard dvd players?

    It can write CDR's too?

    etc thanks in advance

90% of you probably couldn't tell the difference between a movie compressed down to 75% or so and the official one on your TV's

my friend gave me a few dvds he burned, and they were not nearly as good as the originals. Picture quality was down a lot at times, and the sound wasn't up to par.

The only thing I'd use a single-layer burner for is computer backup, and copying dvd-audio discs

maybe if I had one I'd get a mod chip for my xbox too, but I don't know if those games are dual or single layer

first you gotta rip it to your HD, then compress it, then burn it. It's basically an all-day project to burn a dvd

I though dvd Xpress or whatever lets u copy it right away withough having to rip anything to your hard drive. I know that the special features etc will have to be burn on another disc since the whole thing wont fit on just one dvdr

Just get DVDShrink. I haven't used it, but I've heard enough talk about it that it sounds pretty simple.

I'm waiting on a dual layer burner to come out before I buy one -- they should be here sometime next year. If all you need is more storage space, just buy a 250GB hard drive when it's on sale for $100 - $150. It's cheaper than buying a DVD burner, and you can't scratch a hard drive and render it useless.

DVDshrink to compress onto your hard drive, and a burning program

Nero and CopyToDVD seem to be the most popular
