    shit?

since they get more backlinks to their site via their bio section?

i have an auto blog and got a nasty note from the author of an article i stole, advising me to put the footer back in (i had started manually deleting them from the articles :o ) or remove the artcle.

i just manually removed it, but i would tend to think it would be worthwile writing some ezine articles and hoping they get snatched up from autobloggers.

on an unrelated note, my site's blog entry for "xx" (in quotes) is ahead of the ezine article it was stolen from :o

I had someone today tell me to stop "stealing" content.. even though I was posting an excerpt and full credit link to read more at their site.. :ugh:

It's still stealing content. Copyright law doesn't say "you can take my TV show and movie and do whatever you want with it as long as you link back to the source". The same is true for articles. You can take a portion of the article under fair use, but nothing more without the owners permission.

The only reason people put articles on ezine is to get backlinks and traffic. If you are cutting out those sources then it doesn't do anything for them other than dilute their unique content and screw them over. Most of them expect their content to be used once they put it on ezine (it's the whole point) but they also expect to get that linkback.

    .

Your autoblog won't rank for shit in 6 months too... Ezine has way higher authority than you, therefore you will see the supplemental results.
