Not my laptop, but this guy in my night class, he showed me how MS Office will crash out when he opens it, but this only happens when he is on campus, in range of a wireless access point. he can just go sit in his car and it will work just fine, he disabled his wireless connection, and switched off the wireless on the laptop and Office still crashed. yet outside of the coverage of the wireless network it works fine
    what do you think?

I think there is another reason why it is crashing. If he disabled his wireless then his laptop wouldnt know its in range of a wireless point.

true, but it seems like the wireless is still the problem for some reason. unless there is some sort of super-EM field around the buildings unrelated to wifi

How does it crash? What message does it give? Can you paste a screenshot of the crash here or does office exit without giving a reason? If the latter occours then is there a reason in the event log under Application?

Next time that happens, click on the detail link I beleive. It may give some more info on what exactly happened and maybe an error code you could google.

    Hey mate,
Can you go to the Windows Event viewer for me and see if there are any errors coming up around the time that the computer is crashing?

To do this go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> Application (on the left).

Copy and paste any errors that you are getting into here, or better yet post a screenshot.

Thanks mate; Have a good one.
