what's the best christmas horror movie? i've been debating on either doing a die hard xmas or a scary christmas eve. gf said she wants to watch die hard and die hard 2, but i'm on the fence.

I just watched Black Christmas last night; followed up by Silent Night, Deadly Night.

What about Jack Frost, not the Michael Keaton version. Its not about christmas per se, but it is a lovable holiday character. I especially appreciated the scene with Shannon Elizabeth.

Who didn't appreciate the scene with Shannon Elizabeth?

Jack Frost is a nice cheesey one to watch. Jack Frost 2 isn't even bearable.

    Back to suggestions:

Misery: Highly suggested. I don't think this one needs a description. The book is also bad ass.. I'm watching this one today/tonight.

Gremlins: Who doesn't love this one?

P2: If you're wanting to watch something newer, this may be one you want to look into. It's nothing special, but it does take place around Christmas.

...And All Through The House: If you have the first season of Tales From The Crypt, I highly suggest watching this episode.

30 Days of Night: I'm not sure when this one takes place, but there's enough snow in it (maybe because it takes place in Alaska ;)) that it feels like it should be Christmas. I think this movie is alright, but there are a few problems I have with it. I won't go into that, because I'm just trying to give you some suggestions that you could maybe look into.

i own misery and only recently watched it again, so i'm thinking i'm not due for another viewing for at least 6 months.

gremlins would be a possibility, but i was hoping for something a little more... i'm not sure... just more. you know?

i'll check out P2 but i don't have any real requirements as to when it was made, just as long as it's 'scary' and revolves around the holiday.

i'll have to grab all through the house. tales fucking rules.

i watched 30 days of night two nights ago with the old lady and she hated it. but she hates vampire movies so... who gives a fuck right? i liked it. i liked enough to buy it.

good suggestions though broseph. will definitely grab all through the house.

Tales is where it's at, dude. Recently I've went through all of the seasons, watching every episode. The Cryptkeeper is just bad ass.

P2 takes place on Christmas Eve, I do believe. Basically, this work-a-holic is making her way out of her work place after working late, but the Security Guard has other plans for her. He wants to be with her for Christmas so he keeps her tied up in the security room with him, and his Rottweiler. It has the chick in it from The Amityville Horror (remake). She played the weed-toking babysitter.

It's really good if you don't watch the last 5 minutes.

    Chick is HOT, too.

Highly suggested, either way. I know Andy gets Chucky for his Birthday, but there is snow in the movie, so it must be around Christmas.
