My 17 inch wow laptop took a hard shit two weeks ago. While I wait for my new rig to come (fucking Dell taking forever), I need to pull my harddrive, transfer the data and stick the new HDD in my PS3 (7200rpm 80gig hd to replace that fail 20gig).

What do I need to do this?

the laptop hdd is a sata drive right?

i will assume you have a sata hookup in your PC.

turn off your PC, plug in the laptop hdd, turn on your pc, drag and drop the files you want, turn off your PC, remove the sata laptop drive.

put that drive in the PS3 - you will need a fingernail and a phillips head screwdriver, turn on PS3, it will auto-format and install the OS.

    done.
