I ducked it last year because I wanted to keep my job. :hs: I can't wait any longer, I'll deal with cross training if that's what needs to be done. It's time to move up a stripe.

Put Tech on at 7 1/2 years back in '07--pay raise wasn't enough!

Not me, in 6 months I switch to polo shirts. :o

I'll be able to test for Tech, but I'm going to turn it down.

You shouldn't ever turn down an opportunity to test. Who knows what will happen in 6 months.

You turn down the test, then decide to stay in and regret it.

I have seen it happen a couple of times.

Exactly. You turn down the test, and you are not allowed to reenlist. Also seen this happen several times. Just go to the test, fill in the bubbles while the proctor gives the briefings, I prefer to use ABACADABA, and turn it in as soon as the proctor is done, win.

    ABACADABA...

I should have used that last year when I was trying to blow it.

Might not work to try to blow it. A friend of mine did it to try to bomb and wound up making it by 30 points! Talk about ironic.

You can reenlist if you turn down the test. I knew an E4 who turned it down twice and reenlisted.

Maybe I should try that instead of all this studying I'm doing... I'll be very happy when this is out of the way.
