I suppose I'll go get a quote. I'm going to go to the place that did 2 of my best friends artwork... they came out very very well.

However I have a question or two...

All I'm planning on getting is text on my forearms (a few words on each inner forearm)... is text harder or easier to do for most artists? (I know the answer to this may vary and I will ask when I get my quote, but I'd like OTs 2 cents too)

Are there any suggestions you have for text? (font, size, hints on care, etc)

And since you're (hopefully) helping me...
The text I plan on getting is (In case you're wondering)
"We're all going to Hell" (on one arm) "Act Accordingly" (on the other)
Somehow I doubt the font will be able to be the same size because the first set of text is longer than the second, but we'll see.

    Thanks!

    Thats clever...hahaha

I dont know anyone with "text" tattoos so I cant comment...just have an artist draw up something and see what you like or what you would change

The text is clever? if so, thanks :)

I did stop by today... the guy did a couple of font's and quoted me $250 total.
    Looks like it's decent.

Any other insight tho is appreciated, even if its "thats clever" or anything.

The text isn't that clever. At least not to anyone who knows their movies;)

$250 seems like an awful lot though for a job that probably won't take more than an hour.

Well you might know better than I. However I will say that the font/text style I liked the most is the most busy of all. He said it'd be $250 at worst.

And it's not the line from The Departed, although it's close. It's actually from a little film group called IMV Films.

Meh...it's a spin on the Departed line. And if you like what you're paying for, more power to you.

Sad thing is ... I had to look up the line to know it was from the departed (like right after you posted it haha
I only knew it from the IMV Films movie.

You were asking about the difficulty of text for artists....Depends A LOT on the font. Big block letters are going to be easier than a fancy script. Ive seen many pics of fancy lettering where the angles of letters, spacing, or flow of the frill just sucks. So yeah.
