Turned 21 yesterday and made my first handgun purchase

    SA XD9

Getting my CCW process started sometime next week, Florida takes a while to process them :hs:

In addition to the XD, I have a GSG5 carbine, a M70AB2 (underfold in black) and a Tristar cobra 12 gauge

XD crew! I have the subcompact. I really need to get rolling on my CCW paperwork. I need to get a copy of my birth certificate, but it's a bitch because the health department isn't open when I'm off. :wtc:

Thanks man, I have small hands and the glocks felt kind of awkward in my hand, the SD fit just right and I was able to get some range time with one and was impressed.

I've got a Bersa sitting right beside me, not a half bad little gun for what it is. Looking to get rid of it though, found a SIG 245 that I do want.

I had never really looked into them until my uncle took this one out of his closet. He bought it, used it once and its been there since. Cleaned it up, and took it to the range and it shoots very nicely, no FTE/FTF and very light weight. Might pick one up later...

Keep it, you might get 200 for it but I'd just stay with it

I got an old Model 85 double stack .380 one my dad had. Cleaned it up and I love it. Haven't had a issue yet. :x:

So far you're lucky. Usually, any talk about guns revolves around the concept that everything is inferior to Glocks and should therefore be expelled from consideration.

Anyway, welcome to the wonderful world of firearms.

If there is a Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services office in your area, go there. I'm not sure if it's because I'm in the capital, but I made an appointment (for 20 minutes later that day), walked into their office with my class certificate and a money order for $117, filled out the form electronically, they took my photo, scanned my prints electronically, and had my CCW permit in my mailbox a week later (other folks have gotten theirs as soon as 3 days with this process).

It's a new process, most people don't know about it yet, but it's catching on quickly.
