And high doses of catabolic steroids/ immunosuppressants I finally got back to pumping iron yesterday. I can't work out my legs indefinitely because of my blood clots that I'm currently taking Lovenox injections for twice a day, so that whole situation is pretty :greddy: . I'm still on all of my medication but I'm slowly weening off of prednisone (which is the gayest medication ever for someone that cares about body composition) so hopefully I can rid myself of that shit for good here soon.

In any case, yesterday was chest. I'm just doing a Max-OT template because it isn't a ton of volume and work-outs are pretty short. I was told to ease back into this :o

In early July I was doing 275x6 and going up. Yesterday?

    125x4 :o :hsd:

Then I went to Incline dumbell presses and rocked the 40sx6 :hs:

Then to dips....where I could only do my bodyweight and even then only for 3 at a time.

All in all it was nice to get back into it but extremely disappointing about how much I've lost. I'm fat and weak. Don't have any pics at the moment but perhaps I'll try and get some up within a day or two.

Oh and as far as weight goes, I dropped from 230 to 190 at my lowest. I'm at 208 as of today but since I hadn't been working out and prednisone makes you eat everything in sight, it has been all fat :wtc:

I swear if I bust my ass to get back to where I was and beyond again and this shit happens again, I'll start punching nuns and shit.

And I was feeling bad for myself for not being able to workout for 3 weeks and losing some conditioning.
Puts things into perspective. Should for most of us.

I should have washed my feet. Leaves a bad aftertaste in my mouth.

Had the same thing happen to me yesterday after i finally came back to the gym

2 and half months ago i was squatting 275, i couldnt even do 185 yesterday and my form was so shitty. ive never taken this much time off before, so im hoping that i will regain some of the strength quicker. good luck man, stick to it and youll be back up there in no time.

Don't worry man, you can do it. I've been on prednisone for like 15 years and though its a struggle, whenever anything goes bad I just try and tell myself that things will be better soon enough. Even if you've lost 1 year of progress, 1 year is a relatively small time span in a lifetime. As the prednisone goes down your strength, stamina and body compisition will improve. And you've only been on for a few months, so you probably won't even keep your chubby face.
