A&P Snowflake macro

    Kindof a boring snowflake, at least it had a decent shape.. just not very intricate...

    You were going for a pic that has too shallow DOF? :hsugh:

    If it's "too much" of something it's not a good thing.

    I wanted it to have an extremely narrow depth of field to make it so only 2 points of the star shape were in focus..


    Okay I'm BSing, I just wanted to get a real close closeup and when reversing the kit lens your DOF is like literally 1/2 of a millimeter at that magnification... Thanks for commenting though :h5:

    It looks like it's made of glitter!

    nice! I have to find a snowflake to hit with the 90mm, brb.

    yeah, i imagine using a reversed lens doesn't give you much choice in DOF :o

    yeah its real :)

    on the hood of my wifes car, the speckles in the blue are the metallic flecks in the paint..
    The snow was actually borderline sleet, big chunky flakes bouncing around.... thats why it looks so fat / icy rather than delicate / intricate... it was on the verge of sleeting..
