So yeah, I'm learning how to Ski this year just so I can go take pictures of my freinds snowboarding and skiing. I kinda figure it wouldnt be that hard to stun them with a couple pics, I kinda figured since its white out like I do with lighter cars, overexpose by a 1/3 or 2 and see how well the turn out, Maybe for some sunny days use some CP actions.

Anything else anyone can suggest I shall know?

    if anyone doesent know
    D200
    adative business cards
    70-200 2.8
    18-200
    phisheye renz
    copyrighted photar sample book
    sb-600
    some polarizer action
    tripod action
    loweepro backback to curry camera
    Kata Raincover

    thx :wiggle:

unless its an all snow pic, the cam does a pretty good job of metering correctly. CP works well on clear days.

Protecting it and carrying it is the harder part, I don't fall much, so I usually just keep in under my coat instead of having to pack/unpack it all the time.

Have to keep it warm battery wise.

Do you notice any slowdowns with write speeds on the CF cards doing bursts?

I was in SB the past 2 winters, so I dunno. 10d was the best camera I've taken up there.

Where are you going to be? I had a college pass to stevens for a while. Now its pretty random between there, crystal or night skiing at the pass. Plus a week in April at Whistler

For the most of it, I'll be all over the place, Stevens will probobly be first, Meadows, alpental, and I know i'll be up at white as I have alot of freinds that go there from the east side. I just want to get into some good weather, I'll learn to ski first then I'll carry my cam with me :o

Yeah I know, I have not, I snowboarded a couple times probobly 7 years ago, but I know its not the same, I'm probobly going to go 1-5 times with my point and shoot, and then head up with the d70 when I feel comfortable, And if I get really comfortable I'll take the d200 and the 70-200 :noes:
