I'll be getting a MBP 13" soon, so I'll just hold off on buying the upgrade.

not that i know of.. you either have buy leopard for $95 from amazon then the upgrade for $29. or the box set for $170. I really don't use any of iLife or iWork.

^i just used time machine to back up my entire 15" MBP and then loaded it onto my 13" MBP unibody, was pretty seamless other than a small issue with my itunes playlist that was easily fixable.

anyone have any idea how to upgrade for the $10 if you bought a mac after june 9th, 2009?

Question, my MBPs harddrive is "case-sensitive and journaled", which is preventing me from installing a ton of programs i need such as adobe software and such.. if I backup my data with time machine and do a fresh format, making my harddrive not case-sensitive and journaled, will it still be able to recover the data from the backup?

if you're moving from case sensitive to non-case sensitive i cannot imagine there being a problem.

I haven't checked yet, but do any of you folks that use terminal a lot know if I can use something the likes of "dd" to clone my harddrive to an external?
