Here's a few pics from last night.

Tough time taking pictures, it was raining a bit and the spray from the waterfall got the lens to wet after just a few seconds. I couldn't so some of the long exposure pics I wanted either. Oh well, here's a few:

I like everything BUT the PP.

over sharpened with halo's and hard edges, and yeah, a little too much mid tone contrast.

But the shots themselves are awesome!

I don't hate the HDR like most here, I just hate when the fact that it was post processed into an HDR stands out more than the photo itself.

Increasing dynamic range on it's own is a VERY useful tool.

but it should be used within reason, and not be obvious to anyone and everyone who looks at it.

But with these shots, I think I have more of a problem with the over sharpening. For lack of a better word, everything that's even halfway in focus is... crunchy. That doesn't exist in real life. and these are landscapes, they should have some sort of natural flow and edges to them.

It's interesting how different the feedback is from different sources (different forums)

    graci

    I don't, but thanks

My favorite, 2nd would be my favorite if I did it right

I wanted to try too main shutter speeds, about 1/125th to not quite freeze the water but show the flow just a bit and a very long exposure, like 10 seconds. But I got fed up with water getting on the lens.

    I agree

    A bit bigger now.

    fixing that

    Better than terrible right?

I agree on the over-sharpened, I think one action I used had a sharpening element to it plus I used kmd magic sharp. Was doing these quick and didn't really take my time, going back through them now.

    Re-worked #3 as a B&W (actually re-worked it twice, I think I like the 2nd better)

put these two images on top of each other, and reduce the top one's opacity by 50%. It'll be awesome.

Then take your color one, and add just a *touch* of color back into it.

    It'll look like this:
