What is F&N's opinion on smoothies while cutting? I am cutting at ~ 1,800 cal's per day and just yesterday stumbled upon a very nice blender that was sitting in my basement. Brand new and with like 8 different types of settings like blend, puree, chop, etc.... So I started to make smoothies. Now I know that smoothies are high in sugar because of the fruit, but if I am working out that today it will be ok right? I am using it as a meal supplement right now snacks. I usually add a couple pineapple chunks, half a banana, half cup of OJ, and tons of ice to keep the volume high but amount of sugar down.. It is filling and I can add my protein/creatine to it which helps as well. So I am still staying under maintenance even when having a smoothie, but I am worried about the high sugars.. I try to use more ice and less fruit/juice though and only have a smoothie on days when I plan to workout later to insure it gets burned off efficiently. Thanks.
