The M&P 15-22 will be less than 5 lbs unloaded.

it's polymer (per their press release) :hs:

i would take spike's 22lr conversion over the new S&W or "Colt" anyday

but people will pay for the names, even if they are comparing a polymer gun to a metal gun

  5. Really? Is it all plastic?

pk380 look's great though, wish it was 9mm

    380 ammo is so expensive

    yup, look up ^

  8. It'll be interesting to see how an all plastic $400 .22lr AR feels.

    I'll probably stick with my > 4.5lb. 10/22.

but you can't go from it to a .223/5.56 upper, can you?

  10. I'd guess that if it's really going to be under 5 lbs it probably doesn't have a buffer or anything.

i think the biggest factor will be the polymer frame :dunno:

  12. If they want it under 5 lbs, everything's going to be a factor.

Look how far forward the ejection port is. There's plenty of room to have the whole action contained in the upper receiver. Why would they put a buffer assembly in there?
