Too bad they're not just selling the upper AFAIK. I'll buy one when the surplus runs dry.

Pass, my hoard of 5.45 is all the good shit and corrosive don't want to deal with getting corrosive salts out of the AR gas system.

Found these on a different forum, does this cleaning routine seem excessive even after shooting corrosive rounds?
I was initially thinking about just putting water through the barrel, gas tube, piston and receiver cover.

I shoot corrosive crap through my Nagant all the time, I just clean it like all my other guns, except I do it as soon as I'm done shooting.

I spray down the barrel, chamber and bolt on my MN with Windex w/ammonia before I head home from the range. When I get home, I wash it with hot soapy water, dry and put a coat of oil on it.

Usually, I WD-40 the gas system, barrel, and muzzle brake right after shooting. I've had two AKs in my trunk for a week that I put there directly after shooting. No oil/WD-40 or anything and I haven't seen any rust :dunno: Some people say they get it bad if they don't clean but it probably depends on where you live.

Hot soapy water works great though for most guns.

The only thing is that you could buy a separate rifle for $600.

Right now Wolf 5.45 is about $30 a case cheaper then Wolf .223, I bet it doesn't take long for the wolf 5.45 to jump in price once it starts selling, its so cheap right now cause everyones buying the surp stuff for their AK's.

Hmm, I'm a little skeptical about reliability with 5.45 in AR mags.

I'll be honest, I'm torn about them doing this. On the one hand, this means that someone will probably start making quality brass cased 5.45, which would be a  varmint/target gun, since it is spec at 3200fps out of a 16" barrel. Mess with the powder, put it in a 20-24" barrel, and it would be awesome. On the other hand, the milsurp supply will probably be destroyed (assuming Keesh hasn't done that already).
