In WW Hulk #2, Richards states that Amadeus Cho is the 7th smartest person in the world. Well, obviously Richards thinks he is the smarter. Who else? Banner, Doom, Strange?

I've not read in a year and a half, so I depend on you, Pedobears, to see me through this trial of trivialness.

You can't really rank them since it's not written anywhere and it's fairly subjective, but it's fun to mess around with.

Interesting note. Spidey ranks the most powerful person in the galaxy as the Sentry, with Black Bolt being next.

Henry Pym and Hank McCoy would be up there as well.

Valeria Richards is up there too, according to newest FF.

    My guess goes as this:

    1. Reed Richards
    2. Victor VonDoom
    3. Mad Thinker
    4. Tony Stark
    5. The Leader
    6. Professor Xavier
    7. Amadeus Cho
    8. Hank Pym
    9. Hank McCoy

    Something like that.

Is Doom really on that level with Reed? I mean, I know he's smart, but I wouldn't consider him top 10, not when you have people like reed who put all of society in a mathematical equation and amadeus who can do incredible calculations on the fly. Maybe on par with Hank McCoy.

I don't think Tony Stark is that smart.

I feel like Sinister or Prof X would be there. But probably not in the top 10... More like top 25.

I would say Mad Thinker is under Richards but close. I can remember not but a year or two ago seeing Richards and Thinker collaborate on something. Thinker had this equation written on every line of this room, and Richards was poking his big ass elastic head around examining it, and he improved upon it. If anybody knows what crazy book I'm talking about, let me know.t

Some other threads discussing the same thing...

    http://www.606studios.com/bendisboard/showthread.php?t=45999
    http://forum.newsarama.com/archive/index.php/t-127638.html

Some others folks came up with:

    The Watcher

    T'Challa

    Sinister

    Leroy Jenkins

    Apocalypse

Peter Parker, but there's no way in hell imo; although when big shit goes down he's frequently assigned to some kinda scientific duty as pointed out on one of those threads I linked.

Magneto (some folks argued since Mags helped X build Cerebro, he should be in the list as well. Also, "it's hard to tell what Xavier knows and what he stole through telepathy".)

    The Wizard

    Thanos

    The Supreme Intelligence

    Forge (I doubt he's top 10 personally)

    The Elders

I disagree with the the galactic folks mostly because their knowledge is imbued through cosmic means, and they've only had 2039480 years to accumulate all of it.

I think Pym deserve more credit, he created Ultron, Pym particles, and uh....okay, that's all I got, but still, that's pretty impressive!

He always fails when going up against the FF, though he is frequently alone, so I would say close-to-but-under Reed. However, a LOT of folks think he is Reed's dead equal and loses his bouts to ambition, arrogance, etc.

Really? He designs all his own stuff, and nobody has ever designed anything that matches his various Iron Man in terms of a battle suit or anything similar (that I can remember). That takes some staggeringly high intellect. I know it's blasphemy, but I'm reminded of the movie too where he shows his shit off at every turn.

A lot of people on the interweb have him at 2-3.

I also think Banner is somewhere in the top 10.

Well he is smart but I don't think top 7 smart though. He mostly still rely on Reeds for help. :dunno:

I think Sinister should really be up there somewhere. Have you guys read the current X issue where he puts his dna code or whatever in other mutants so he'll never die?

He didn't always rely on Reed though.

I see what you're saying, though. When I think about Cho, I think there is no way Stark can be smarter than him. Like when he tells Hercules to strike the water main, Tony would have just had a smart ass thing to say about rogue heroes endangering people, then he would have shot his pew pew hands at something.

However, there are certainly different "types" of intelligence, who is to say Cho could build the current Iron Man suit?

Yeah, a lot of people rank him highly.

Off topic, but the Sinister from that little stint in Cable and Deadpool was smart as shit, too.

Wasn't it the opposite? I remember a comic during Civil War when he had this enormous equation that was on every wall of this room, and it basically summed up how civil war would end, and he called in some villain or something to look at it and the dude was like 'holy shit wtf i have no idea.'

Also, was Thanos ever really that smart? He had incredible ambition, and when he had the Infinity Gauntlet, but he never struck me as someone who had a vast intellect.

    Ah, that was it.

Thinker was like "Shit son, I have no idea. No wonder I always lost to you."

Spider-man was making technology that he used in conjunction with his powers when he was 14.

Pym is STILL working on his fucking ant-man helmet bullshit.

I picked Tony Stark because he's supposed to be an technological genius. Doing shit that the bigwigs of the field were doing when he was like 5 years old. Didn't he have like 3 degrees by the time he was 12?

I think my list is best. T'Challa himself isn't that intelligent, but his science team definitely is.

Sinester is only smart in genetics. He's an idiot in every other way. Magneto was never a smart guy, just good at controlling his abilities and his charm was his greatest strength.

Forge isn't that smart, the shit he makes is a byproduct of his power. If he can imagine it, it just comes to life.

Magneto I always felt was equivalent with Prof. X, just with a different point of view, the Malcolm X to his MLK.
