as per my goals of competing more and working towards a real blue belt I'm doing my first competition in a while. Gonna do gi and no-gi, I hope to do much better than in the past but in all honesty I've only been able to train hard since the start of the year, coming off my knee injury then a back injury then the fucking holidays with travel and shit, so I'm in shit shape and my gas tank blows. :hsd: I'll win at a tournament someday maybe

also i fucking wish i had vids but alas no.

the first match was great, he was bullying for the takedown sos I pulled guard straight into an elevator sweep, got mount, he escaped into my side control and i used brazil grip to setup the hangman choke, had him gurgling but no tap so i went back to mount then attacked w/ the sleeve choke and hooked the armbar as he defended the choke ftw.

second match was against a wrestler who cut to get to 199 (i weighed at 187) and he got a knee through my guard, we played half guard for several minutes but he got the arm triangle on me and I tapped.

3rd match was against a big strong guy with less training, tried to muscle me but i negated w/ good technique, played conservative on the subs, he got me side mounted once but I got mount, backmount, and a couple sweeps to win it. I was gassing under his side mount but used some good breathing technique to recover my wind and reverse him.

whats's CF? forgive me if I'm stupid atm.

I train and teach full time at my main dojo which allows me the time to crosstrain at the relson academy. Besides teaching I'm working on various audio and video projects for the dojo and I also just started an internship at a recording studio.

if you meant does my MS affect my training, it has very little impact on my day to day life, I have been in remission for 3 years now with almost no symptoms.

brazil grip is where you're in sidemount and you reach the headside arm under their neck and the hipside arm under their far shoulder and lock your hands with a hooking grip and smash them flat.
Hangman choke is when you can reach that arm that's under their neck up to thumb in grip on their close side lapel then posture up, push the head, and go to knee on belly.

I know, these are just the names I heard them called.
