    just saw it..liked it a lot:o

cool love story, nice camera work, pretty intense in some parts.

almost like City of God, but centers more around a love story

Grew up watching old Indian movies, so it wasn't anything new storywise. But the way they pulled it all together was very slick and ingenious. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Just came home from this, I absolutely loved it. Salim was such a great character - his last scene in the tub was really well done. And that scene were he jumps into the pile of shit...

But Danny Boyle is a great man for this.

Saw this last night, also enjoyed it. Loved the soundtrack, surprised when they played "paper planes" though, although I guess it was a nice song for what was going on at the time.

This plot hole in Slumdog Millionaire really pissed me off: (maybe spoiler)

When they do the life line "phone a friend", the person being called obviously has to be secluded, and watched by a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire employee. Otherwise they could just use teh Interwebs and find the answer every time.

:ugh: not every contestant is a slumdog, you stupid fuck.

you must have missed the part where he was in the call center, using the Internet

and I'm sure there aren't millions of dollars riding on "Cash Cab" either. :ugh::ugh:

Saw it tonight, I liked it, cool plot line.

A uneducated, slum dweller is doing very well on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire", so the police accuse him of cheating and take him into custody.

Then the rest of the movies are flashbacks explaining how a man with little education would know these answers.

One more point: The poverty was extreme! Makes the poor of Mexico look well off. And the poor of America look like millionaires.

And how much is 20 million ruppees in USD?
