On June 1st I decided to stop being fat. I was 6'4" and about 311-312 pounds. I started working out 3-4 days a week doing cardio, and eating better. After a week or two I started drinking Slim Fast shakes for breakfast and lunch because I was pretty busy, and they were cheap (about a dollar a meal) and I was broke. I burn about 500 calories each time in the gym, but need to bump up the time I spend to burn 8 or 900. I haven't worked out the last two weeks because I've been working 14 hour days, but I picked it back up yesterday. Anyhow, I've lost 12-13 pounds so far. First time in god knows how long that I've been under 300. Registered 299.4 on the scale. The goal is 250, and hopefully more in the long run, but I am shooting for 6-8 pounds lost each month. Clothes fit better, I feel better...it's win win, I'm just mad it took me so long to get my shit together.
