    Hello,

An RR tech replaced my old modem with a SB5100 a week or two ago, I didn't DL anything on BT since then. I was able to get up to 250kb on BT with my old modem. Today I tried to DL a file and it will only give me from 0-3kbps. I do not have a router and Windows Firewall is not turned on. Any ideas on what to do? I tried searching on google but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance. :)

I just don't care about your slow torrent speeds. maybe it will discourage you from using it and you'll start paying for software... uh, yea right  people scare me today.

regardless, on a completely seperate, and otherwise non-illigal matter: You need a router and a firewall. end of story. Not running one is horribly stupid.

It would seem to me that they are throteling your Torrent bandwidth, IE there routers see the torrent packets start to come through and lower the max speed. It is most likely some kinda scheme to make you stop downloading. Who is your ISP
