Is it true that you should take slow-burning carbs before work outs because they will force water into your muscle bellies, amplifying your workouts and accelerating your growth? Also I have read that after
training, you should take in fast-digesting carbs to spike insulin levels and refill depleted muscle glycogen stores.

What are some of the slow-burning carbs and fast-digesting carbs?

    for example
    slow-burning carbs - apple

not as fast as you would think...fructose + fiber = slower digestion
