Got an appointment today to get it started. It's going to be Japanese style water all the way down. Not sure if we'll be adding anything else yet.
I can't fucking wait! Will post pics later on.

Here's a few pictures. It's still a bit dirty. I'll get some better ones tomorrow.
Going back in 2 weeks to work on the shading.

By the way...I know the band is gay. That's why it's getting covered.

I like everything except the incredibly lame pot leaf.

I figured someone was going to say that. They're Japanese maple leaves, not pot leaves. Not going to be green either.

My appt. was for 1:30 but when I got there, he was talking to someone else about some work, and then he had to take the full piece he had drawn and cut it into 5 smaller pieces so he could get most of it on there. It was really a pain in the ass for him so for that I give him tons of credit.
Then he had to do a bunch of freehand on the underside of my arm because it didn't match up exactly so by the time we actually got started with the ink it took just under 3 hours.
I think he did a great job. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Looks great! The leaves however IMO look a little out of place and my initial thought was maple leaf rather than marijuana, but I assume most will think pot.

    Keep us updated!

I think the leaves will fit in better and not look like Pot leaves once we start filling things in and he does the shading. I have an appointment set up for next Tuesday so I'll update with pictures after that.

I knew it wasnt pot..but youll have to do some work to make sure it doesnt appear that way in the end. I think going with varying colors on the leaves should help. So far, this looks great. I love the japanese water scenes and have been thinking of doing that to my left arm after the right is done. Very cool.

Thanks. The leaves are going to be a deep red/maroonish color in the end and the water is just going to be traditional black/shading. No other color in it other than that.
The artist kind of specializes in the Japanese work so I know this is going to come out looking the way I want it to.
