I just had a consult today w Craig Driscoll

    http://craigdriscoll.com/portfolio.html

I originally wanted a half-sleeve.. so if i wore a T-shirt / jersey or whatever for the most part it would be covered... but he stated about 95% of people who get half sleeves end up doing the whole thing.

I decided to go with a 3/4's.. about 2 inches from the wrist..

What are your thoughts on this.. im kinda scared that the 3/4 might be too much.. but then again.. im kinda excited at the same time :hsughno:

You'll be much happier with it being 3/4

Why not do a full sleeve? A tshirt will not cover a 3/4 sleeve. So you'll have to wear a long sleeve shirt, which would also cover a full sleeve.

Sounds like it's inevitable. Just go for it. I was worried a bit about having a full sleeve in the workplace but I can just wear long sleeves to work. Not a big deal.

    hey guys, important question:

i may be gettin the tat in June/July etc.. maybe later.. maybe earlier..

July 2nd-8th im gonna be in FL doin it big on the beach etc, and late July/August im going to be in Hawaii or on a cruise etc.

Is this going to be somethign i want to take into consideration? How long after you get the tat do you have to keep it out of Sun etc?

    Thanks!!!

Most places will you tell you to wait 2 weeks for direct sunlight. I'd wait longer.

There is stuff you can get at tanning salons to put on it. Like sunblock for tattoos. I picked some up last summer and it worked almost too well.
When I put it on, I didn't follow the exact outline of the tattoos so there was a pale white outline around all my tattoos after being in the sun.

you don't want to immerse your new tat in water for a couple of weeks (ie pool, hot tubs)

but always remember the sun is your tattoo's worst enemy.

That stuff is ok for healed tattoos.

You should wait at least a month before putting your new tattoo in direct sunlight.

Thats what I was always told....

Shit I can almost feel the sun through my clothes on fresh ink...But I have always been sensative to the sun....I tan easy...

I would probably wait with salt water...you wanna have a good time in those bad ass places....and hawaii can get pretty warm being under the sun all day

If it is healed, just put some suntan lotion on it. Doesnt have to be any special made for tattoos kind. Just strong, all natural sunblock. If it is not healed, try to avoid being in the sun. However, I was always told that if being exposed to the sun is unavoidable, the sun will cause less damage than chemicals in the sunblock to a fresh tattoo.

3/4 sleeve = only 2" from your wrist? Are you a midget?

I was planning on doing a half sleeve, I have been on a waiting list for ages!!! Now I have changed my mind to 1/4 sleeve and shoulder. I work in a very corporate office and I will have to cover it for work. :hs:
