Just wondering, how much sleep do you guys and gals get a night?

How much is too much and how much is too little?

What effects would various sleep times have on a routine?

I generally get about 5-6 hours a night. What you say OT?

I get about 6-8 a night. It's extremely important because your muscles don't grow when you lift weights, they grow when you sleep

generally, if i set no alarms, my body wants about 7.5 hours of sleep on average. but I do like to lay in bed to wake up naturally until i'm ready to actually get up and do stuff, and some times that is hard to do.

answer this, if sleep isn't important, than why do most people spend 1/3 of their life doing it.

i mean shit, if you live to be 90 years old, 30 years are devoted to sleep, and 60 years is your true waking life.

From what I understand the hormones responsible for triggering large portion of muscle repair / growth peak a few hours after you fall asleep. So that would leave me to believe it's relatively important. However I don't know if this tapers off quickly or if the levels stay elevated while you're asleep or how it works...

I'm no scientist though, just read this somewhere in the past few years and it's stuck with me. Anyone more knowledgeable able to comment?

One time I slept for like 14 hrs straight and woke up swole as a fucking oak! Vascular and shredded!

Then I realized I was fucking thirsty as hell.

When i was in school i was functioning on 6 hours of sleep a night.

Nowadays I just work so i do 8 hours, but i have a hard time dealing if i only get 6 hours of sleep. My body just isnt used to it.

    At least 8.

But I don't have a job at the moment, so it's easy.
