going out west later in the year and was wondering if any of you guys have done this. I have skiied with my sequence but it wasnt a great experience, I want something quick, small, and protected. I am thinking just a small backpack with my body/uwa wrapped in a sweatshirt. I don't fall but I also baby my gear.

Shit that sounds horrible. What kind of gloves are going to be warm/water proof and still give you reasonable grip on a camera? :o

I took my old XT snowboarding. Just had it in a regular backpack in a plastic bag to help with condensation and temp change. Wrapped the whole mess in a hoodie and all was well.

What's wrong with the sequence? I have used it to get my D80 to some serious heights.

i'd never take mine skiing, but then again I suck.

I'd just take the G10, it could survive a fall easily, and theres plenty of light up there :o

I bring my camera a two lenses when I go riding out in the desert. It's no problem going 5th gear tapped and hitting the whoops. Don't be a pussy, your gear will handle a easy sesh of boarding.

I use a lowepro TLZ 75 with the chest harness, It can hold a probody with a 70-200 attached. I snowboard with this setup.

I have the first version so I don't know if the newer ones have it but mine has a little tarp thing in the front pocket to protect the bag from the elements.

For the camera I use the Tenba RC-14 Rain Slicker.

I use my dakine sequence on a daily basis, it takes all the abuse I throw at it. Even if I take a fall going through the park going down to the lodge, love it. And I don't have to worry about anyone opening my bag in the lift lines.

I use a top load lowepro that I can attach in the front, very quick to take out, very protected compared to the back (snowboarding that is)

I've took my old XT quite a few times, I just hid it under my jacket, and would take it out as I wanted to take photos.
