But sometimes I get lucky.
I think I am over-processing though...mostly because I have no idea what I am doing.
for starters you could edit the light stand out of the last two pictures...also using ultra wide lenses are sweet, except when you have the subject at the very edge of the frame and it distorts the hell out of them.
example: 1,2,4..the compositions aren't really all that interesting. i think you are focusing too much on technique and not enough on basic things like composition.
go on young padawan.
i'll be honest, you really have shown no improvement.
the shadows of your pocket wizard is awesome too
lighting action sports is tough
I've had bmxers hit flashes in the past
the strobist is strong in this one
well... that's what the crop tool is for, i guess.
Do you like that? I think its sexy.
I think what most of the OTers don't understand about skateboard photography is.
Incredibly limited space
Putting your equipment where it will work without getting damaged
Putting yourself where you won't get damaged
what equipment do you use?
oh come on, what do those pussy 13 year olds weigh? could they knock over a light stand?
i personally would have been at the coping area shooting down to get a more dramatic look with flash camera left since thats the direction they were going.
best example I have on this computer of how easy it is to get owned when shooting. The rider was hopping from one of those metal bars to another. I had a flash in the middle, and me straddling where he was going to land. if I was not quick, I would have been eaten by a bike
I always do that angle.
not really, i have seen your shots. i mean get higher. so you can see the transition and skater, stand on teh railing or a step ladder or something
you know you are right..i went ahead and found skating shots of "incredibly limited space"
oh wait...all of these photographers seemed to be able to get the shot without being incredibly limited in space.
i'm not starting anything man, it just really seems like you're limiting yourself in the creativity department, which is fine but don't post the same pictures over and over again and expect us to think you are getting better.
aww pw's awww .. not bad man. Always been a job I've dreamed of .
Holy fuck, those skateboarding shots tedrzz posted are fucking off the hook.
which one of those are in a skatepark? Can you point it out to me?
