Size vs strengths

    so it's a toss right now for me
    I originally got into this shit cause I hated the way I look
    but the more I do it, the more I care about strengths as much as looks

    currently my routine is

    and it's been working OK, until I had to take a break

    but now that I am getting back into it I figure it's the perfect time for a switch

    I am starting to think about Christopher's routine
    what I would like to know is how much of that routine will focus solely on building strengths will it do anything for hypertrophy? Sticking to my current routine am I better off to help achieve my goals? everything I read abotu christopher's routine points to it helping you achieve max strenghts, which is great, but I also want to get size...and part of it is I've always been weak, always, and I am worried that it will really tax my body and end up fucking me up

    compared to like timber's routine which is obviously differant and is focused on looks mainly (please correct me if I'm wrong, but thats the impression I got)

    It’s just a toss right now between the two, and honestly this shit is fucking confusing, and I am a complete tool with this shit, I been reading this forum for 6 month and still don't know my dick from my ass :o

    am I making any sense or did I drink too many beers tonight?

    the routine is a perfect mix of strength and hypertrophy. If you want to chuck in some direct bicep shit you can.

    if you changed the name of the routine to max-ot and made the routine worse, itd be perfect for hypertrophy

    Everyones different. Ive tried alot of different routines, but always seem to make my way back to beating the ever loving hell out of one bodypart a day... Just seems to work best for me.

    Try a bunch of different ones, give each a chance, and then decide whats best for you and your body.

    edit: also no need to be pussy hurt because a routine didn't work for me as well as you think it should have

    no it doesn't..... theres always been the option of a 4th day, and christophers has always said this

    plus, it did work for you, your diet just sucked and you blamed the routine... look at the strength you gained.

    i gained strength, but not size. don't you guys always say that with strength comes size? shouldn't i have gotten bigger since i was getting stronger?

    my bad. i definitely did gain size and i ate a shitload. i didn't mean i didn't gain size even though that's what i said. i meant that i gained a shitload more fat than i think i should have in comparison to the amount of muscle i gained.

    i understand what you're saying. maybe i'm more pissed at the combination of the two ideas of this routine and eat everything in sight regardless of nutritional value that is spouted on F&N.

    i don't want to turn this thread into the other one. i understand the reason that i gained so much fat. i also understand that i got stronger. i'm pissed at the fact that this routine wasn't tailored to my goals and was still recommended to me along with the diet consisting of eating everything in sight.

    i could upload pictures, but i'm at work

    basically i started working out in october at 205 or so with huge love handles. i looked like shit. i cut until april 20th and i was down to 180. i was pretty lean and i looked like shit, but i didn't realize it at the time. i was just happy being skinny for once in my life. i decided to start bulking. i got to around 205 again. pretty large love handles and a decent sized stomach. so, in conclusion i gained a shitload of fat.

    You honestly think the routine you were on made you fat?

    Your diet dictates how lean/fat you are.

    i think the combination of the two is what did it. i think i would have put on more muscle doing a different routine.
