I can't possibly go without my camera. I'll prob just bring the 85 1.4?
It's so hard to leave the 14-24 at home though :wtc:

shoot all you want before and after. Just vacate the immediate vicinity of the pro, and no one cares what you bring.

    :nono:

Its my fucking sister. if I want to stand over his shoulder, I'll do it.

Plus, he fucked up the bridal portraits so at least I know mine will turn out.

    But, I wouldn't do that, because I'm a nice guy ;)

If I was the photog and you stood over my shoulder... I'd let my elbow meet your nose accidentally.

    Hopefully it's a pointy elbow.

The fact that it's your sister is all the more reason not to do anything to disrupt her wedding. :mamoru:

Why aren't you doing the wedding?

And its sounds like it would be hard to convince you to leave the camera at home. But if you think you will have more fun at your sister's wedding by trying to take pics by all means, then go for it.

same reason I'm not doing my brother's wedding, I'm going to enjoy myself rather than work. :dunno:

Word, my brother got married recently and instead of shooting it, I was busy getting drunk and enjoying it.

I did shoot a good amount of pics before I got drunk though cause I knew the photog they hired would do a garbage job and indeed they did.

And to ensure quality pictures will be taken, a certain OTer is being flown to Texas to shoot the wedding for my brother so I can enjoy the wedding and not have to worry. :)

Yeh but unlike you he wants to take his gear and his worried that the photog might screw up, and at least he would get some decent shots.

Maybe your bro and wife loved the pictures...and why you care who they hired and how the pics come out? If you cared so much then you should of shot the whole wedding.

Then like me, he shouldve recommended a few photogs he liked and let them choose. At the end, they still choose who you want, and you don't have to worry about a thing. My brother was given 4 photogs, he picked one... I'm happy. That's all that matters.

My brother actually wanted me to shoot the whole wedding but his wifes mom had to have the same guy that does every damn Vietnamese persons wedding in this area do theirs also.

The guy didn't even come shoot the wedding and had his wife/business partner shoot it. 1 photgrapher for a 500 person wedding? Seriously? She even had the nerves to ask people in the wedding party to help her with stuff.

Again...getting the mom involved :bowrofl: That is horrible. Your brother should of stood up for what he believed in, not what her mother in law thinks.

A good photog can work around you or work with cropping during PP.
Now....if your sister is having a video done of the wedding, then that's a different story. a stupid guy in a video can ruin the whole thing.
