I recently bought a Sirius hook up for my car navigation and plan to have it installed next Monday. However, I just came across this article: http://blogs.computerworld.com/satelite_radio_the_end_is_near_0

It says that Sirius/XM will file for bankruptcy. I was initially going to by the service for 3 years to the get this discount, but now I'm not sure what to do.

    Should I:
    1) Buy the 3 year service with the biggest discount and hope they dont' shut down completely
    2) Buy it on a month by month basis so if they do shut down I won't be out those subscription fees.
    3) Try to return the hardware and get my money back.

Return the hardware, in my opinion. Satellite Radio is a fucking mess post-merger and it's going to get a whole lot worse coming up. They're bleeding money BAD and nothing good has come from the merger. And now they're charging for online listening?

    I'd drop it.
