They are going to do a septoplasty, bilateral turbinate reduction and bilateral concha bullosa resection. It's an out patient surgery and the doctor said I would be back to the gym after 7 days.

    Good luck man.

I think I remember you saying that you had sleep apnea... is this correct?
My dad had the option for sinus surgery, but for now he is opting out and just using the CPAP during the night.

I don't really snore or have sleep apnea but I have horrible allergies the bug the fuck out of my sinuses

Yes, I do have apnea and use a cpap. I'm hoping that losing weight + this surgery that I can get rid of the cpap. If not, I 'll have to have my tonsels removed as wel.

I most likely have sleep apnea... but I'm younger so I don't think it's thattt bad. My mother used to say when I was young she would hear me stop breathing for like 30 seconds sometimes. I know my mom has it and uses a cpap. I still have my tonsils as well :hs:

    Good luck with the recovery

The CPAP is supposed to prevent that.

My dad used to wake up every 20min while sleeping. With his CPAP its only once or twice a night now.

I still consciously awaken 4-5 times per night but the cpap has cured my apnea.

My gf had the same surgery and also had pollups removed from her nasal cavity, which grew back anyway.

It's a rough surgery even though it's out patient. I felt really bad for her when she came home. Good luck with it. ;)

i don't snore but I definitely have acute sinusitus and narrow passageways.... fucking sucks balls man I get stuffed up so easily if I get the slightest amount of pollen around me. Nasacort nasal spray seems to work great for it though.

I have the same exact problem.

A daily allergy pill and nasal spray makes it bareable though. It just sucks feeling like you have a mild sinus cold 24/7/365

By far the worst part is not being able to breathe thru your nose for the week and getting the gause out dude it felt like they were pulling my brain out. I had to get sinus reconstructed and nose straightened too. It is worth it all i can actually breathe thru my nose now

I had deviated septum and adenoid removal surgery. It wasn't fun, the worst part was pulling out the cotton tubes that seemed like they went up into my brain, needless to say it was pretty gross. It took me about 2 weeks to get back into the gym, the pain was pretty bad, hopefully your surgery is different.
