As I said, just release yesterday. This is Sins and both expansion packs for $40.

Hell of a deal if you've been craving space based RTS with massive fleet combat.

since it's kind of "open source" and mod friendly I am surprised noone has made a star wars mod. Although, I have yet to actually look online for one :o

So? You can add non-steam games to your list and when you're playing the game you still have all the benefits of steam :dunno:

I'm at a point where I just want all my games in one place. I don't like getting the CDs, and I really like just downloading the games when I want to play them.

I like that convenience too but it's not exactly a dealbreaker:o

If getting the CDs out were such a hassle for me I'd just rip the ISOs onto my hard drive :o

:werd: I'd be all over this if it was on Steam... I don't want to sign up for another service :hs: Does Impulse need to run in the background to be able to play Sins of a Solar Empire?

no, you can use impulse to download and register the game, and never run it again except to patch.

i liked the missile ship orb thingy, was retardedly expensive and would crash ppls computers since when it fired it forced you to render something like 50,000 missiles if you were looking at it

I only use Impulse just to get updates for Sins. You can play using the Impulse engine, but I don't see the point unless you are playing online.

    Awesome game and expansions btw

I have heard a lot of talk about this game. What is it like? Someone mentioned space fleet battles, but do you collect research or colonize other worlds. Finaly are there any other games like it so I can get an idea what it is before I go and buy it?
