People walking around in your background.

Fill flash is just what it sounds. You use a small amount of flash to fill in shadows of your subject (under the eyes, chin..etc).

1/2 you cut off part of yourself, and lighting seems a little flat.
3 your white balance seems to be a little off, or you oversaturated your skin. Not sure if that's your natural color, or if you made some touches in post, but it looks a lot more orange than your previous 2 shots.

Thanks, erm this isn't me in the photos incase you're thinking it is.

White balance? I don't remember doing anything to it and I haven't done any PP on the photos either apart from some sharpening.

Ah ok, I guess you're right, I couldn't really get them to move out of the way and since the swings were right there I couldn't really do much lol.

I'll remember for next time though :)

Sure you can. Lay on the ground so the sky is the background.

basically, the skin tones seemed off in the third one compared to the other two. thought wb might have been a part of the reason.

shoot raw. Making simple minor adjustments such as curves and levels is MUCH easier in raw. Then all you have to worry about is a nice little slider for WB... make a shot as hot or cool as you like. Downside, of course, is much larger file size.

Ok, but I don't have the right software to support raw.

canon and nikon both bundle proprietary software (free with camera) to handle raw files
photoshop and lightroom both support raw files
    picasa (free) supports raw files

what the fuck other software are you using?
