    good work,

except this one the light is too low mate. see the catchlight is below the half way mark on the iris, and how that causes the shadow of her nose to go upward,a nd you can then see into her nose, not natural

    where'd you find the model?

  9. :o You can tell I'm a noob at the lighting skills

Found her at a car show working for this ghetto black dude who exploits women to get people to come to his store. He claims to be a photographer, that's how he gets his girls... :mamoru: Here is his magazine. And WTF seriously, who would name a "legitimate" business 69 Flavors... :ugh:

Ok, what's the definition of "High Key" for photography? In film it's reducing the contrast and having pretty even light, which is pretty much what is here.

its basically all highlights, often blown out except for a few details, but his images are normal exposure, but happen to have a lot of white/light tonaility.

I don't know where you got that definition, but that isn't high key

But true high key, there's no way... I couldnt do it.

  19. :ugh: are you serious......

Like I don't know what high key is.... :ugh:

I was simply saying that these pics (compared to what I normally take) are like high key to me. Let me break it down some more for the high school drop outs....

I usually take dark pics (I like dark photos)
yesterday I took bright pics (the pics posted here are bright)

Last night's shoot was different for me... I don't know how else to convey my message....

Oh and I believe these are better examples of high key (not to be confused with black and white) than what viper posted for those in here don't know wtf we're talking about

Okay, this is interesting. I'm learning. In this shot...

    http://ic1.deviantart.com/fs7/i/2005/197/4/8/high_key_by_kasyah.jpg

It looks like lights are all around the girl, but slightly more behind her, because she seems well lit; and the image is metered on her dark hair...?

    Then here...

    http://ic1.deviantart.com/fs8/f/2005/285/9/8/Jannie.jpg

...it looks like that exposure came from having lights to the side and behind the model, such that her face was in shadow, then metering on her face, does that make sense?

Then in the last one it looks like she's outside in daylight and her face is such that it's in shadow, and the camera metered on her face... amirite? How does this work exactly?
