Simple question about calories a day plus working out

    If I should intake X number of calories a day but im doing cardio and lifting and burning Y number of calories
    does it matter? Should I still take in what my X should be and not worry about the lost ones?

    I assume Im right in my notion here just wanted to make sure

    just trying to get rid of this spare tire........get back in to shape all over but mainly lose this bit of fat
    so cutting

    Don't adhere to anything a calculator tells you, eat a certain number of calories a day, weigh yourself after two weeks and see how much weight you lost. If you gained weight, drop calories by about 250-500 a day, if you maintained, drop calories by about 250-500 a day, if you lost, keep eating what your eating.

    find your maintainance, take away 500 calories a day and keep to 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight
