    I just recently got into music. I used to go with whatever was on the radio, tv etc, and I never went out and bought any albums and didn't really know what I was listening to. Then my friends got me interested into a few bands, and I'm seeking to expand my music horizons so too speak.

    One of the favortie bands I started listening to is Linkin Park, so I was wondering what other bands you recommend that has sort of the same genre as Linkin Park.

    Thanks

    Actually none of my friends are really into Linkin Park. That was my own invention.

    And I don't want bands that are the same as LP, I want bands that are in the same genre as them. Basicly I want the generic list that shows what people who listen to LP also listen to.

    according to allmusic, the following are similar to lp:

    * Lostprophets
    * Evanescence
    * Alien Ant Farm
    * Stereomud
    * Saliva
    * Papa Roach
    * Limp Bizkit
    * Powerman 5000
    * Nine Inch Nails
    * Rage Against the Machine

    all of those, save the last two, are pretty bad

    I heard you. All the bands you've mentioned I've heard already, and have albums for some of them. Thanks anyways though.

    Motograter
    Staind - only old staind try "mudshovel"
    Mudvayne
