Can you add ram or change the video card in a laptop?
I'm sure you can update the ram but the video card would probably be tricky.
most video cards in notebooks cannot be upgraded. Some exceptions include newer dell notebooks -- but finding replacement cards is difficult.
Memory and hard drive can be easily upgraded. Processor can also usually be upgraded.
Many dell's can be upgraded (unofficially). Check out the forums on support.dell.com. You can find out if and what part numbers you need. It will void your warranty. Other brands vary. Most can't.
RAM can almost always be upgraded. Check Micron's website for what you need (even if you buy elsewhere, they can match your make/model to the right ram). The exception is if it is already max'ed out.
