I've tried hooking of these up with no luck. The house was originall wired for cable/TV attenna thats it. Later we bought satelite and only had one reciever wired up. But, I went and got another reciever. There is no wire for the second reciever so we have a signal combiner laying around, but no directions to it. No matter how many times I hook it up, I can only get (in other rooms as well) the channel the main reciever is on. My second receiver doesnt pick up the satelite signal... Isnt that what a signal combiner is for?

for dish, you need another lnb to be able to recieve 2 different channels at the same time...

go buy a dual LNB and you should be fine...
