I am running windows 2k server and IIS on this web server. I need a web based script that will basically act as one of the old in/out boards commonly posted in offices. It must be free as the budget doesn't allow for it. Can anyone help? :bigthumb:

do you mean like a time-clock application?

at any rate, http://www.hotscripts.com/ prolly has something for what you need. Stick with ASP or PHP.

No I meant a sign in/out board that's web based. If someone wanted to leave the office, they would just sign out and it would update their status in a database, which would be viewable by querying the DB on a webpage.

honestly I'd just write one myself... sounds very simple. And, btw, that's all a timeclock is, really.

But all you need is this table:

UID - integer, auto-increment, primary key
    Name - varchar(255), unique
    Status - Boolean

having the status column as a boolean makes it an easy "true/false" for them being in the office.
