Im looking at getting one of each of these lenses.

i shot the 24-60mm yesterday and really enjoyed it and wanted to know if the 24-70ex macro was as good as it or better

with the zoom lenses I was wanting to know if the L series lens was really worth the extra dough or should I just stick with the 75-300 with image stabilizer. I didn't get to try the L series because they didn't have the f4 version on hand.

The 70-300 IS is pretty bad. It needs a crap load of light, is really slow at auto focusing and isn't very sharp.

If you have enough light, than it can be ok, but the 70-200 will be better than the 70-300. You can always get a 300 F/4 later. Or get the 85 F/1.8 and the 135 F/2.8 soft focus, and the 200 F/2.8

    Shots with the 75-300 IS

those pics look pretty nice, but then again you probably had a crapload of light.

L series glass is just so expensive. It's like you pay 100 bucks jsut for the name sometimes I feel.

but, since canon specializes in zoom lenses it seems silly to get an offbrand zoom.
