While... it is a good deal... People should already have a lens for that range that's HQ.

it's hard to use it on a 1.6 crop...... but shiet..... i dunno, 200 for a legit 2.8 24-60 is pretty damn good. Hope someone can take advantage

I ordered one today. The price went up to $219, but even at that price, it's has to be so much better than the xti kit lens. I guess I'll wait and see.

I bought one at that price a while ago. While it's a great lens, the range just didn't work for me. I ended up selling it on ebay and replacing it with the Sigma 17-70

I have the Canon EF 70-300mm f-4-5.6 is usm for zoom, plus I just don't have the extra $$ right now. I'm mostly looking for a walk around lens to replace the kit lens in order to take better photos of architecture around Miami for a blog I run.

The pics I found through the links in the first post were fantastic!

it's definately better! i just got mine..... it works well with my 1d! 24 mm is weird on a 1.6. With the 24-60, you've got your classic 50mm and 85mm portrait (x1.6) bleh, just get it! f/2.8 with awesome build and quick focussing. I love mine
