I don't know anything about this lens except for what I read about in the online store where they wrote "The perfect all-around lens". It's cheaper than my Tamron 17-50 for :hs:

Would you pick the Sigma in front of the Tamron?

Or are they even compareable since the sigma is 18-200 and the Tamron is 17-50?

get the tamron 18-270 , has IS and is better then the canon 18-200, sigma 18-200, and the tamron 18-250.

Good luck finding it though, places sell out instantly when they get it.

    tamron 17-50 >> Sigma 18-200 and the Nikon 18-200

The sig and the nikon might be tempting b/c of the superior range, but i think the iq and 2.8 of the tamron make it a better choice.

I had the Sigma for a little while before I bought more equipment. It has OS (optical stabalization) and it worked well. I liked it and bought it because the Nikon version was a little rich for my blood at the time. For the price, its not a bad everday lens.
