hey guys, i'm basically looking for the best walk around lens for convenience, while trying not to sacrafice quality as much as possible. I know the Sigma has been out for a while and the Tamron has only been out for about a week or two.

Any experiences with either of them? or any other recommendations??

I am using the Nikon 28-200 ED 4-5.6, I think it's a little slow. I still walk around with my 18-70 DX. I haven't even taken a picture with the 28-200 yet in a serious manner.

They're both great sharp lenses wide open on either end, wide or tele. :noes:

They're the same company man, just brand the lenses differently.

Sigma smashes the Nikon D70 kit lens between 71-125mm. The nikon clearly wins at 17mm though. :noes: :noes:
