Haven't seen much info on it, heard the display is great, cam is ok. But nothing really about reception, quality, etc :dunno:

If you have never used a phone before, get it...its a good starter BUT....the cam sucks, the text messaging sucks. Reception is very good and voice quality is good. You can go to mobileburn.com and do a search for the S65 which is the international version of the s66...check out the ratings...its not too shabby but for a lot less, you can get a Sony Ericsson T637 which has better picture quality even though its just a VGA camera and text messaging is so much easier.

I have had *horrible* experiences with Sony Ericsson phones. However, I've got a siemens that won't die. I would definitely consider the S66 as a new phone.

I've had horrible experiences with every company and their phones. Siemens is the only one I find almost impossible to use next to using this POS blackberry I reviewed. The Siemens though, I will say build quality is very good...other than that, they have to rethink their UI.

Depends how long you've had that shit laying around. :)

Anyway, my rule of thumb is when in doubt, get a nokia.

We've had 2 of the S66 phones sitting in inventory since the release date. Nobody even looks twice at them.

Screen is decent sized, and looks to be good resolution but the rest of the phone is normal siemens quality (aka, crap for interface, and i've yet to find one thats got good RF qualities).

I'd consider the 6230 over that. Actually, there is nothing to consider, 6230 is a MUCH better phone. The 637 ericsson is also very good.
if you want good quality pictures, the nokia is the way to go. Mine takes amazing pictures, better than just about anything else I sell every day.
