    How do i get rid of that splash screen at the end of shutting down so that my computer turns off automatically?

    I don't know if there is a way to do that, but there are commands you can run to shut the computer down by clicking a shortcut. I forget what they are off the top of my head.

    Check device manager, expand 'computer' and make sure it has ACPI in it.

    And make sure you have an ATX power supply.

    I think there is a way to do it by editing the registry. Check out www.regedit.com

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

    PowerdownAfterShutdown=1

    but it won't do anything without an ATX power supply, or maybe it restarts it - i forget which

    you're not going to find an AT power supply in a machine that runs xp.

    unless you built it yourself and you're a fucking retard.
