    (not me)

This dude is throwing his body into it.

When I do them I try to keep everything static except my traps. I.e. no cheating with arms/elbow movement/toes/etc.

Should I be more dynamic? Any benefit?

people elevate the heel to emphasize more quad involvement, but seriously most people that do that are really inflexible in the ankles and have tight calves. They use the elevated heel to get deep. Basically a band-aid.

Are you saying it's just better overall to increase the weight and call more muscle groups into the movement?

Any benefit in holding the top of the lift for a couple seconds during each rep?

you can do them either way, i dont know if one is 'better' than the other, but maybe good to do both and see which you prefer

i kinda like power shrugs like maine posted, which is basically a clean pull from the hang position.
