most people want to know how to escape a situation once the submission is fully locked in. There are a couple of things you can do before he locks it in like good posture, looking at the ceiling, moving your arm to the side and under your leg so you have one side free. Once its locked in though there aren't many things you can do

I should have been more specific....i need tips to escape a moderately locked in triangle. Let's say the legs are locked in, but the person hasn't angled out to one side yet or grabbed on to on of my own legs.

If the person locks it down and knows what they are doing ill usually tap just because id rather practice not getting there in the first place. But if you really want to try getting out:

Sometimes Ill sit down on my butt and cross my legs in front of my opponents chest and use the leverage i now have to pop my head or arm out, and if im slick, transition right into a stack pass. I guess kinda similar to this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=famNyNIgSws

Also if you can get some posture spin toward the side that your arm is trapped and try to drop a knee on the opponents chest and use that leverage to pry open the triangle.

    Ill look for vids.

Bite the legs or the nuts. If that doesn't work, try using your exposed arm to pinch the skin or stick a finger in the butt hole. This leads to quick escapes.

Once it's locked up you're pretty much fucked. You need to be quick.

thats like footlocks and heel hooks all day long there if you can keep holding on to the triangle. Especially the way that kid passed that one leg over the stomach

There is a good escape that I think Renzo shows on youtube (moving to weak side of triangle and stepping over).

Just keep good posture and think about making small adjustments to keep your shoulder out of your neck and you should be able to get out of your fair share.

judging from the videos of your previous comp videos you need to work at your posture whilst you are in the guard, your posture was disgusting to say the least, but at least you know what to work on now which is a lot better than most other white belts who think they know everything. Hell its the same with judo, i still know next to nothing and I have been competing since i can remember in judo.

All you can do is just stick with basic principles and techniques and that will keep you out of trouble most of the time ie: posture

posture and turn / walk in the direction that takes their foot from behind their knee. I'm tall so I have a lot of luck with stepping my far leg over their head and twisting.
