what does everyone do for the shoulder press exercise?

    I've been doing:

standing BB shoulder press 3 sets of 5 with increasing weight
and then doing seated DB shoulder press 2 sets x 8 & 1 set of 6

i'd prefer to do just one style of shoulder press. but i dont want to use 5 different weights of dumbells & i dont feel like im getting adequate results on standing shoulder BB press.

db press or hammer press or smith front press
    side lat
    rear lat
    (front raises if im competing)
    upright row supersetting shrugs

sometimes i do giant sets and press last

sometimes i do lots of drop sets and rep the shit out of them

just do 5x5 w/ same weight with dbs, why do you feel the need to modify this thing so much?

the nature of the routine is 5x5 with increasing weight. im not modifying this portion. im trying to simplify my workout.

i also hate using the smith machine, since it limits my range of motion & doesnt do as well to build the stabilizer muscles.

ah, thats the hammer strength 'machine' we have 3 variations of presses (bench, incline, & military).

do these pieces of equipment yield good results?
